the average for the month of 54.6 mm and the second wettest April since records 
were started in 1929. The wettest April on record was in 2000 with 204.7 mm of 
rain.

April rainfall was more than twice the total for the first three months 
of the year. The wettest day was the 29th with 20.4 mm of rain, closely 
followed by the 24th with 20.1 mm of rain.
